Safe Lives – Ending Domestic Abuse

An estimated 1.4 million women experienced domestic abuse in the past year. The proportion of victims is higher among younger women (8%) compared to those aged 45 to 54 (4.2%), and those aged 60 to 74 (3.2%).

Domestic abuse is a factor in the family background of two-thirds of Serious Case Reviews. On average, two women are killed each week by a male partner or ex-partner. Currently, 100,000 people are at risk of serious harm or murder due to domestic violence.

In 75% of domestic violence cases, victims suffer physical injury or adverse mental health effects.

Our goal is to help and improve the lives of those who have endured such hardships.
